Ah..I was waiting for this moment to happen. I'm actually really curious about Kakyu's response and how he feels towards Kae. Considering everything that has happened, I wonder if he still blames Kae or if he's come to understand the haunting predicament both Ray and Kae were both in at the time. I really loved the way you captured Ray's character is K-A-E. The contradiction between his desires and his genes along with his complicated relationship with Kakyu made for such a compelling story. The dynamic between all the characters carries over beautifully from K-A-E to Ten. Not to mention, the art just continues to get more and more gorgeous ^^
I really need to find the money to buy K-A-E and Ten in print.
This is one of those pages where the missing backstory really is felt.
So he kept a picture of Ray with him.
He play strong but he is actually quite romantic isn't it ? （＞ｙ＜）
I wonder if that will end up in a fight ? Finding Kakyu all over Kae and doing something looking like erotic wrestling would probably make some seme back there drool X3
I really wish I could buy the Ebook (or whatever it's called). I'm really lost right now. :'( But great comic~! ^^
Thank you, as always, very very much for your comment. OvO#
It makes me proud to have someone like you, who reads so carefully and thinks so much about the characters and their relationship. #^w^#
I always felt like I had too little time / space to really depict Rays problem and his contradiction. So I'm glad to hear it was still understandable. <3
I really appreciate you thinking of buying KAE. X3 Thank you!
But you know, actually you don't really _need_ the backstory here. I guess you're just feeling it because you know there is a backstory and there are some comments (or on this page is one comment) that shows some readers know it.
But TEN still is (at least in my mind, that is) a comic that can be well read both ways. With and without knowing the backstory.
Both ways have different pros and cons.
You, on one hand have the benefit of suspense. You don't know anything, which makes you crave for more information that will be just slowly revealed while the plot unfolds. (And it will be. ^^ That I can promise you. I just don't do big heaps of slushy information that makes your head spin. KAE was 600 pages, mind you. I like to give bits and pieces to not overfeed you. X3)
The others, who have read the prequel, have the benefit of the knowledge. They see what's happening in another way than you, feeling and maybe suffering with the characters because they know what happened to them and what was and will never be again.
(And then again you might have an even greater advantage because you can come back later, after you know everything, and re-read the whole thing to have the same impression as the others on top of your first one. ;D Not that bad of a deal, eh?)
The necklace actually was a present from Kakyu to Ray and Kae brought it back to him. ;D I won't say more. ;D
Erotic wrestling in the pond... and Inori & Noél standing there in the thicket. Inori, rooting - Noél, very much emparrassed. XD
yeah, standing in the thicket and pitching tents ^^ Yeah, Noél too, his body is more honest than him X3
